Course Introduction
Welcome to California Real Estate Practice. This is the second course students will take to help them prepare for further studies in real estate.This course covers operations in real estate: listing, prospecting, advertising, financing, sales techniques, escrow and ethics. This course applies toward educational requirements for a broker's examination. This course is required by the California Department of Real Estate prior to taking the Real Estate Salesperson's examination. Please take the time to download, print and study the course outline. Also, please watch the Desire2Learn Demonstrations shown below before taking the Online Orientation Quiz in the Desire2Learn course web site or begining any course work.
Online Course Orientation
This course uses a combination of different technology's to deliver course materials over the Internet. Student's who take this course are required to complete and online orientation. Following are the requirements that all students must complete before beginning any work in this course:

2. Technology Requirements:
A Pentium® based computer or greater, with 512 megabytes of RAM, sound card.
Your computer should have the Windows 2000, Windows XP or Windows Vista operating system installed.

Special Note: Apple iPod Audio Lectures
iPod Audio Lecture Download: Beginning this semester (spring 2010) students are able to download all of the course audio lectures to their Apple iPod for free. These lectures contain the exact same audio contained in the video lectures. Now students can listen to the lectures anywhere they can play their iPod. 4. After you complete reviewing the Technology Requirements for the course, the Orientation Video and Blackboard Demonstrations log on to the class Desire2Learn web site and complete the orientation quiz. This quiz is very important and worth 50 points toward your final grade.
5. You can purchase the RE 310 Course DVD Set from the college bookstore. This DVD has all class lectures and pod casts. This DVD Set may be ordered online thru the Sacramento City College Book Store.
6. Course Textbook: Huber, Walt, California Huber, Walt, California Real Estate Practice, 5 th Edition. This book may be ordered online thru the Sacramento City College Book Store.
